Here are some repair / testing tips to verify this is the part you need:

The normal customer complaint is my washer won't spin the clothes out that good.  Keep in mind that if the clothes are not spinning out at all, they are still soaking wet in other words when the cycle is done.  You could have a broken motor coupling, the transmission is not coming out of it's lock position, or a lid switch problem.  So if your washer is still spinning, but not spinning the clothes out that good you will want to run this test.  If you can see your lid switch, using a screwdriver, push on the lid switch to engage it.  Now start the washer on a spin setting while lightly pressing your fingers against the inner spin basket.  Your fingers will be acting as the load of clothes that it's usually spinning out.  If your washer is not able to ramp up to a full spin while your fingers are pressed against the tub then replace the 285785 clutch.  If you cannot see your lid switch around the area the lid rests on you will need to get into you control panel.  You can do this be either removing the screws in the back of the panel, or if you don't see any screws you will need a scraper to slide under the front of the control panel on the right and left side to release the clips.  Once you have access to the inside of the control panel you will see a switch mounted on the left.  Undo the harness from the switch, get a jumper wire ready, and insert the jumper wire between the two colored wires on the outside.  Do not jump the green ground wire unless you want to trip your breaker.  Now that the lid switch is by-passed you can run the same test mentioned above.
